We are pleased to share with you our Special Update on GST Rate Changes – September 2025, following the recommendations of the 56th GST Council Meeting held on 3rd September 2025 and the subsequent notifications issued by the Ministry of Finance [Notification No. 9/2025 & 10/2025 – Central Tax (Rate), both dated 17th September 2025]. These changes will come into effect from 22nd September 2025. The attached document has been prepared with the objective of: Summarizing the Council’s recommendations, Presenting the final notified GST rates, Highlighting the effective dates, and Providing clarity on Input Tax Credit (ITC) eligibility wherever rates have been revised. 👉 For ease of use, we have structured the note in two parts: Part I – Council Recommendations (background and intent), and Part II – Notifications (statutory provisions to be applied for compliance).
